With the exception of the Drone Swarms (and only partially, because you could end up losing by very little), the Rail Gun would have won against all these other units. The problem does not lie in the Satellite Spotter (it's meant to do well against Exoskeleton Soldiers and it does) but in the Rail Gun. However, the huge defense that the Rail Guns had made it so that the Satellite Spotters didn't do very well against them. They're not meant to be, they're supposed to be good against Exoskeleton Soldiers and Rail Guns (they can hit them on the first turn, they can lower their potential damage due to the Heat ability). The issue here is clear, and you point to it by saying the Satellite Spotters are 'decorative' units. Satellite Spotters are good against Exoskeleton Soldiers and Rail Guns. Rail Guns are good against Hover Tanks and Exoskeleton Soldiers. Hover Tanks are good against Satellite Spotters and Drone Swarms.Įxoskeleton Soldiers are good against Drone Swarms and Hover Tanks. Drone Swarms are good against Rail Guns and Satellite Spotters (performance may vary based on the initial deployment of the Drone Swarm).
